How to Modify Your PLR Articles Easily and
Quickly
Private Label Rights articles have changed the
way webmasters create virtual real estate (VRE) websites.
Having access to cheap and plentiful articles on any number of
niche topics helps save time when building your websites. The
problem with PLR is that anywhere between 60 and 300 or more
people could have access to the very same article. You can do
whatever you want with the article but if you choose to publish
it on your website or blog the best thing to do is modify the
content.
Search engines and readers do not like to see
the same article over and over when searching for information.
Search engines have begun penalizing duplicated content,
keeping multiple instances of the articles from showing up in
the search listings. The best thing to do is simply modify your
PLR article slightly to create fresh content.
The following are some tips to easily and
quickly modify your PLR articles:
1. If you do nothing else, you should always
change the title of the article. Make note of the main keyword
the title uses as each PLR article is written around a specific
keyword phrase. If your article is based on the keyword
"bicycling calendar", your title might be "How to Properly
Display a Bicycling Calendar" or "Bicycle Calendars for
Christmas Gifts" and so forth.
2. The opening paragraph should be changed as
well. You should make sure your keyword phrase appears a couple
of times in the opening paragraph. The sentences containing the
keyword phrases will need to be changed. You can use your
thesaurus to get ideas for changing words out. Or try to write
a sentence in your own words making the tone of the article
less professional and more casual.
3. I always rewrite the ending. Basically I
simply summarize for the reader the main points of topic in the
article. This only takes a few sentences to accomplish. I also
add in a resource link or two to get the reader clicking to my
affiliate programs or other websites.
4. I generally go through the middle of the
article and make little changes. I typical modify the first
sentence or two. Always take note how well the content is
written. Sometimes it might be prudent to simply re-write those
sentences that just do not make much sense. Additionally some
articles need beefing up in the middle as the research was not
well-done at times. Remember, you want your reader to find the
article useful and not just another piece of PLR junk.
The bottom line is re-writing PLR can be a bit
time consuming and difficult, particularly for those who do not
like to write. As you do more you will find that it gets easier
but it's probably never something that you'll be excited to
do.
